Personalized Vehicle Experience

When you set out to purchase something, how does the process begin? Let's say it's for a hotel or plane flights, your first step is to price shop online, right? Your initial instinct is to find the best price. What about service, friendliness, and timeliness? Aren't these very important factors too? Think about all of the products available to you nowadays; cheapest doesn't necessarily mean the best choice.

Often a consumer will find a product or place they really like for many various reasons, but it's usually a nice balance of different factors. Choosing between two Italian restaurants: the menu items are just a little higher at a restaurant 15 minutes away versus the restaurant right around the corner from you, but the service is so much better, and the food is remarkable at the farther one. Given the opportunity, it's more than likely you'll choose the one with the better food and service, even if it is a little farther and costs a little more. Right?

In the car industry, we see no reason that this balance should be any different. Of course we do our best to offer the lowest overall price out there, but when it's just not possible, many of our loyal customers still understand this. Sales takes cooperation and it's not a one-way street, and the best relationship will be formed around a happy medium. Those are the customers who want to continue to work with us forever and they are proud to send friends and family to us. (Thank you!)

Next time you're shopping and you have the most delightful, respectful and persistent Salesperson on the phone or at a dealership, ask yourself if you really want to pass that opportunity up to save pennies on the dollar in the long run. Would you rather work with someone who may not give you the best experience down the road somewhere else? Just imagine how that affects you long term: in that second scenario, you would repeat the sales process over and over again from the beginning, every single time you have to purchase a vehicle. You'll never have a steadfast vehicle advisor working on your behalf that you would want to go to for questions or to send your friends to.

Shopping price is a good basis for a search, no doubt about it, but make sure to think about reputation and all of the other factors that will make that product the perfect fit for you. There are many avenues to search for how happy customers have been with a particular company. Yelp, Yahoo and Google have some terrific databases of reviews for reputation and testimonials for ALL types of businesses. Happy shopping!!
